What to Expect
Your Results Timeline
First use
Skin absorbs in under 60 seconds. No white cast. No greasiness. Skin feels calm and protected — not coated.
Week 1–2
Skin less reactive to sun exposure. Existing patches less likely to darken after time outdoors or at a window. The Tanner's Cassia activity begins from first application — tyrosinase inhibition is cumulative.
Month 1
When used daily alongside the Anti-Pigmentation Cream, the results of the night treatment begin to hold through the day. Skin tone more consistently even — not just after waking, but through the afternoon.
Month 2–3
Patches that previously darkened with stress or sun exposure maintain their improvement. The anti-pigmentation system is working in both directions.

Your Daily Ritual
Every morning, after cleansing with the Anti-Pigmentation Face Wash, apply this cream as the first product — before serum, toner, or makeup. SPF functions correctly only when applied directly to clean, slightly damp skin. Applying it over other products reduces its protection factor in practice, regardless of what the label states.
Take a pearl-sized amount — sufficient for face, neck, and the back of the hands if they are exposed to sun. Dot across forehead, both cheeks, nose, chin, and neck. This is a concentrated formulation. More does not increase SPF or anti-pigmentation efficacy.
Massage in gentle upward strokes for 60 seconds until fully absorbed. Do not rub briskly — this disrupts the SPF film. The cream leaves no white cast and no greasiness on Indian skin tones. If any residue remains at hairline or jaw after 60 seconds, pat gently rather than rubbing.
For extended full time outdoor exposure, use a good sunscreen on top of the cream. For medium outdoor exposure beyond two hours, reapply once. Indoors, a single morning application is sufficient. At night, switch to the Anti-Pigmentation Cream — the 24-hour system requires both: this cream through the day, the Anti-Pigmentation Cream while you sleep. The Tanner's Cassia in this formulation is active from first application and builds cumulatively with daily use.
Pro Tips
Pro Tip 1 — The Complete 24-Hour System Anti-Pigmentation Face Wash every morning → this cream immediately after. Face Wash again in the evening → Anti-Pigmentation Cream as the final step. That is the complete ritual. The Tanner's Cassia in this cream inhibits tyrosinase through the day. The Licorice Root and Willow Bark in the night cream continue at night. The enzyme that causes dark patches has no unguarded hours.
Pro Tip 2 — Under Makeup This is the correct morning base when managing active pigmentation. Apply, wait 60 seconds for full absorption, then foundation or tinted SPF if used. Do not layer another SPF product over this one — it does not add protection and reduces the efficacy of both. If your foundation has SPF, the combined effect is not additive. Use this cream alone as the SPF layer, then your makeup over it.

Sacred Heritage
Rooted in a Tradition That Never Needed Chemistry
Most anti-pigmentation products treat the night and leave the day unaddressed. The skin repairs while you sleep and encounters the same triggers — UV, oxidative stress, daily inflammation — from the first morning hour. The repair and the damage run in parallel.
This cream closes that gap. Not by protecting passively, but by treating actively through every daylight hour.
Tanner’s Cassia (Senna auriculata — Aavaarai in Tamil, a revered Varnya herb in Siddha medicine) works against the biology that causes dark patches to form — the same biology the night cream addresses, now active through the day. Siddha physicians have used it for complexion restoration for generations. It appears in commercial skincare as a listed ingredient. Almost never at the concentration a Siddha physician would consider therapeutic — which requires access to a practitioner lineage that most brands simply do not have. Its presence here is the most specific signal of the physician’s hand.
SPF50 PA+++ blocks the UV signal that triggers melanin overproduction before it reaches the skin. PA+++ is not a minor specification — for a woman managing active pigmentation, it is the one that determines whether the protection is adequate. UVA, the primary driver of melasma, penetrates glass, reaches deeper skin layers than UVB, and is present at your office window and in your car. PA+++ takes it seriously. Most SPF moisturisers do not.
Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) — classified in Siddha as Kayakalpa, restoring at the level of deep tissue rather than surface correction — delivers concentrated natural Vitamin C that neutralises the oxidative damage which makes pigmentation permanent, and continues the antioxidant repair the night cream began. Pomegranate and Beetroot extend that antioxidant protection against the free radical activity UV leaves behind — the damage that compounds quietly across days and shows up weeks later as patches that were not there before. Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, and Aloe Vera (Kumari) maintain the skin barrier through the day. A compromised barrier is more reactive to every trigger. These three ensure it is not compromised.
Used every morning after the Anti-Pigmentation Face Wash, before the day begins. Used alongside the Anti-Pigmentation Cream at night. The two products are not repair and protection in sequence — they are both treatment, working through the two conditions the skin moves through across every 24 hours.

Founder's Note

The day I understood what Aavaarai was, I understood why the physician had included it.
I had been using the night cream for months — with results I trusted. But I was applying it to skin that had spent the day unprotected, in Chennai and Bengaluru light, absorbing the UV that directly triggers the enzyme the cream was working to quiet at night. I was treating a problem I was also feeding.
Our physician explained Tanner's Cassia — Aavaarai, as she called it — as the daytime counterpart to the night formulation. The same enzyme, the same pathway, active through the hours she sleeps. She said she had been using it in Siddha skin preparations for decades. She was surprised it had never made it into mainstream skincare.
I use this cream every morning now before I leave the house. Not because I have to. Because I understand what it is doing — and I don't want to undo what the night is building.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What makes this different from any other SPF50 moisturiser?
A: Tanner's Cassia (Senna auriculata — Aavaarai in Tamil Siddha medicine). It is confirmed as a tyrosinase inhibitor — the enzyme that causes melanin overproduction when activated by UV, cortisol, or inflammation. Almost no commercial SPF moisturiser contains it, because obtaining Tanner's Cassia at therapeutic grade requires access to a Siddha physician lineage. Combined with SPF50 PA+++ (which blocks the UV signal that activates tyrosinase) and Amalaki (antioxidant Kayakalpa that neutralises the oxidative damage driving pigmentation), this cream contains three simultaneous anti-pigmentation pathways. A standard SPF moisturiser contains one — the UV block.
Q. I already use an SPF. Should I be using this instead, or in addition?
A: Instead — not in addition. Layering SPF products reduces the efficacy of both. This cream delivers SPF50 PA+++ protection and replaces the need for a separate SPF step. Apply it as your morning moisturiser after cleansing — it is the only product you need before makeup. The distinction from your current SPF is not the protection factor: it is what the formulation does between the SPF molecules. Tanner's Cassia and Amalaki are active anti-pigmentation ingredients. Your current SPF almost certainly is not.
Q. How does this work alongside the Anti-Pigmentation Cream — do they do the same thing?
A: They work at the same biological pathway — tyrosinase inhibition — but in different conditions and from different directions. The Anti-Pigmentation Cream works at night, when the skin is in repair mode and UV is absent. This cream works through the day, when UV exposure, oxidative stress, and cortisol are actively triggering the pathway. They are not competing — they are the two halves of a continuous 24-hour treatment. Neither is redundant. Each works in conditions the other cannot reach.
Q. I work indoors. Do I still need this?
A: Yes. UVA radiation — the primary UV driver of melasma — penetrates standard window glass and reaches deeper skin layers than UVB. PA+++ is the specification that addresses UVA specifically. Office windows and car windows do not provide meaningful UVA protection. For a woman managing active pigmentation, the cumulative UVA exposure across a working week indoors is significant — and it is activating the same tyrosinase pathway this cream is working to quiet. Tanner's Cassia continues its tyrosinase-inhibiting work regardless of UV level, which means this cream has anti-pigmentation value even on completely indoor days.
Q. Can I use this if I am in perimenopause or have reactive skin?
A: Yes. There are no synthetic hormones, chemical UV filters associated with sensitisation (oxybenzone, octinoxate), parabens, sulphates, or endocrine-disrupting compounds. Women in perimenopause — when hormonal fluctuation is a primary trigger for new or worsening pigmentation — benefit specifically from the PA+++ rating: UVA exposure amplifies hormonal melanin overproduction in a way that makes perimenopausal pigmentation measurably worse. The botanical base (Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Amalaki) is formulated to support reactive skin rather than trigger it. Women who have experienced burning or breakouts from conventional SPF moisturisers typically find this formulation is the first their skin does not resist. We recommend a skin patch test before use.
